About Raquel
Raquel has had the pleasure of serving as the Executive Assistant to the CEO and serving as the Board Clerk for the District since 2022. Raquel manages all aspects of the Board of Directors official duties; including, the coordination of committee and Board meetings, as well as organizing coordinating site visits with the Community Health Contractors. Raquel oversees the reporting of the Community Health Contracts and Youth Fitness grants, one of the favorite aspects of her job. She states that being part of funding a community organization for all the great work that they do is deeply fulfilling. "Receiving the Grantees notes of appreciation to the District and the impact reports is the best example that we are doing something special for the community".
FUN FACTS:
In her spare time Raquel enjoys astronomy, gardening, puzzles, and spending time with her family, and recently took up a new hobby: Sublimation.
Raquel's District Call Sign is Dirty Raccoon and she just really loves corn.
Raquel is an advocate for the Alliance for Headache Disorders Advocacy she goes to Washington DC annually to speak in person with her Senate and Congressmembers about the need for more funding and research for people with headache disorders. This organization is near and dear to her heart as she is also migraine sufferer.
