About the Training

This is a hands-on workshop that teaches you how to recognize an opioid overdose, give Narcan, perform CPR, and communicate effectively with individuals facing addiction, because every word matters, and every action counts.

Topics in Training
  • Effective Communication: Learn how to engage with individuals facing addiction and guide conversations that can support recovery.
  • Identifying Overdose Signs: Identify the key signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose to respond quickly.
  • Narcan Administration: Get trained on how to safely and effectively use Narcan to reverse an opioid overdose.
  • CPR & AED Training: Practice life-saving skills, including basic CPR and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Receive Narcan Supply

By attending and participating in this workshop, you will receive one (1) unit of Narcan.

Sobre el Entrenamiento

Este es un taller práctico que te enseña cómo reconocer una sobredosis de opioides, administrar Narcan, realizar RCP y comunicarte de manera efectiva con personas que enfrentan una adicción, porque cada palabra importa y cada acción cuenta.

Temas del Taller
  • Comunicación Efectiva: Aprende a relacionarte con personas que enfrentan una adicción y cómo guiar conversaciones que apoyen su recuperación.
  • Identificación de Señales de Sobredosis: Identifica las señales y síntomas clave de una sobredosis de opioides para poder responder rápidamente.
  • Administración de Narcan: Recibe entrenamiento sobre cómo usar Narcan de manera segura y efectiva para revertir una sobredosis.
  • Entrenamiento en RCP y DEA: Practica habilidades que salvan vidas, incluyendo RCP básico y cómo usar un Desfibrilador Externo Automático (DEA).
