About Rachel 

Rachel became the CEO of the Fallbrook Regional Health District in May of 2019, after having served as the Executive Director at the Foundation for Senior Care (a local senior services nonprofit) for nearly four years. Rachel is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton and Loma Linda University.  She jumped into the nonprofit world in 2004 after completing her education in end-of-life studies. She spent many years working in the hospice industry and credits that work for introducing her to the nonprofit sector. For several years, Rachel worked as a freelance grant writer and nonprofit consultant for a variety of nonprofit groups throughout Southern California. She has spent much of her professional career in the health and nonprofit industries, and has served in almost every capacity from positions in executive leadership, business and fund development, board governance and as a volunteer.

Rachel is very active in her community and has served on several boards and committees for service groups and other non-profit agencies. Rachel is a longtime Rotarian and currently serves on the Board for the Legacy Endowment Community Foundation.

Rachel is an avid scuba diver, so when she vacations you can usually find her about 50 feet under water. Her other hobbies include offroading with her husband in their old Jeep named "Rhonda". The District staff team have nicknamed her MegaBoss, which she proudly embraces. Otherwise be prepared for Rachel to share stories about her cats and chickens (seriously, she's obsessed).
