Sally DeVito, RN, CHPN, has been serving and working in health-related roles for the better part of her 57 years, starting as early as high school when she volunteered as a candy striper (complete with pin striped smock) for the VA Medical Center in Nashville, TN where she was born and raised.

A registered nurse since 1990, her nursing career has encompassed a variety of roles in both clinical and non-clinical settings.  Sally began her career in acute care nursing and also spent time as a traveling nurse (Texas, Chicago, Las Vegas).  She spent some time as a Quality Management Nurse for an HMO.  In 1998, she stepped away from nursing for 10 years; time she spent as the owner/founder of a therapeutic massage company and then as a stay-at-home mom.   Since her return to nursing in 2008, Sally has worked predominantly in elder care; and has held multiple supervisory, management and director roles; including Director of Nursing of the Goldberg Healthcare Center (part of Seacrest Village Retirement Communities) and Clinical Director for Premier Healthcare Services (now Aveanna Healthcare).  In 2018, she transitioned to end-of-life care and currently serves as an RN case manager for The Elizabeth Hospice.

Sally also serves on the board of directors for Transitional Bridges, a nonprofit organization that supports families who are coping with a loved-one’s death.

While serving as a director of the Fallbrook Regional Health District, Sally’s goal is to promote wellness and quality of life for the residents of Fallbrook and surrounding areas with a focus on the promotion of quality end-of-life care.  A resident of North County San Diego for more than 20 years, Sally moved to Fallbrook in 2017 with her partner, Chris and their daughter Vicky.
